Message from the Pastor Why does God allow that to happen?

The recent atrocities in Syria, have led many Thursday: to wonder how could God allow that to 7:30 pm: Lessons for life (Spanish) happen? This is a question that has 7:30 pm: Ministry for Children befuddled man going back to the days when the Romans fed Christians to the lions as a form of entertainment. How could God allow that? How could God allow the brutal extermination of millions of Jews in Nazi war camps? We ourselves may struggle with this question when we see innocent loved ones suffer excruciating pain and death. Why does God allow that to happen? Many have even concluded that God must not exist. John chapter 11 tells the story of Lazarus that sheds light on why Jesus allowed this particular situation to happen. Lazarus was sick and at the point of death. Jesus knew and loved Lazarus and his sisters yet when he received word that Lazarus was sick he purposely delayed going there. When Jesus finally arrived Lazarus had been dead for days. The family and friends were weeping in despair. Seeing so much pain in those whom he loved; Jesus wept. Everyone wondered why Jesus did not come sooner and heal Lazarus. At that point Jesus prayed and Lazarus rose from the dead. However, the question remained, why Jesus didn’t come sooner and avoid all this pain and suffering including the pain to himself? The Bible explains that all this was done for the glory of God, so that the disciples and others would believe. Had Jesus not allowed all this pain to happen, God would not have been glorified and others both there and perhaps to this day would not have believed. Jesus does not want anyone to suffer and when we do, he suffers right along with us. However sometimes suffering is necessary so that others may believe. Revelations 21:4, describes a place where there will be no more pain, no more suffering and no more death. Jesus wants everyone to reach this place so bad that he gave the ultimate sacrifice so that Lazarus, the Christians who were fed to the lions and every loved one we have known who suffered and died in Christ would finally reach that place where there will be no more suffering, no more pain, and no more sorrow; a place more commonly known as heaven. Welcome to the House of God!

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…” Matthew 28:19 UCAC Home Bible Study Program On Sunday, September 15th, Bishop Adam Lopez presented the graduates—teachers of the “Effective Soul Winning Home Bible Study Program” Several months earlier the bishop had invited those who were interested to be part of a class whose mission would be to conduct home bible studies. “Go ye therefore and teach all nations...” Those were some of the final words Jesus spoke to his disciples before he rose to the heavens. The whole purpose of Christ’s life, death and resurrection was to save the world. That purpose could only be carried out by his disciples going forth and teaching others. Not everybody can give bible studies, nor can everybody preach to the masses, heal the sick or perform miracles. But everyone can tell others about Jesus. Everyone can tell their neighbors, friends and relatives about Jesus and what He has done in our lives. Everyone can be a soul winner! If your friends, neighbors, co-worker or relatives are interested, tell them about our home bible studies program. Bishop Lopez’s class of bible studies teachers will gladly set up a time and place at their convenience where they can learn about Jesus and his plan for salvation. We live in a world of pain, suffering, drug and alcohol abuse, depression, suicide and despair. Jesus is the answer and can work miracles in the lives of others the way He has in our lives. Las recientes atrocidades en Siria, han llevado a muchos a preguntarse cómo pudo Dios permitir que eso suceda? Esta es una pregunta que ha desconcertado el hombre desde los días en que los Romanos dieron de comer los cristianos a los leones. ¿Cómo pudo Dios permitir eso? ¿Cómo pudo Dios permitir el exterminio de millones de Judios en los campos de los Nazis? Nosotros mismos podemos luchar con esta pregunta cuando vemos seres queridos inocentes que sufren un dolor insoportable y la muerte. ¿Por qué Dios permite que esto suceda? Muchos han llegado a la conclusión de que Dios no existe. Juan capítulo 11 cuenta la historia de Lázaro, que nos da luz sobre por qué Jesús permitió que sucediera esta situación en particular. Lázaro estaba enfermo y a punto de morir. Jesús conocía y amaba a Lázaro y sus hermanas; sin embargo, cuando recibió la noticia de que Lázaro estaba enfermo, tardo ir allí. Cuando Jesús finalmente llegó Lázaro había estado muerto por días. La familia y los amigos estaban llorando en la desesperación. Al ver tanto dolor en aquellos que él amaba, Jesús lloró. Todo el mundo se preguntaba por qué Jesús no vino antes a sanar a Lázaro . En ese momento, Jesús oró y Lázaro se levantó de la muerte. Sin embargo, la pregunta sigue siendo, ¿por qué Jesús no vino antes a evitar todo ese dolor y sufrimiento incluyendo el dolor para sí mismo? En este capítulo se explica que todo esto se hizo para la gloria de Dios, para que los discípulos y otros creyeran. Si Jesús no hubiera permitido que todo este dolor sucediera, Dios no habría sido glorificado y no hubieran creído los otros de allí y tal vez hasta nuestros días. Jesús no quiere que nadie sufra y cuando sufrimos, El sufre junto con nosotros. Sin embargo a veces el sufrimiento es necesario para que otros puedan creer. Apocalipsis 21:04, describe un lugar donde no habrá más dolor, no más sufrimiento y no más muerte. Jesús quiere que todos llegamos a este lugar tanto que dió el último sacrificio. Lo dio para que Lázaro, los cristianos que fueron comidos por los leones y todos los que murieron en Cristo pudieran llegar a ese lugar donde no hay sufrimiento, no hay dolor, y no hay muerte, un lugar más conocido como El Cielo. Bienvenido a la Casa de Dios !

"Por tanto, id, y hacer discípulos a todas las naciones ..." Mateo 28:19 UCAC Programa de Estudio Bíblico en Casa El domingo, 15 de septiembre, el Obispo, Adam Lopez presentó los graduados del Programa de Estudio Bíblico en Casa. Pocos meses antes, el obispo invitó a los que estaban interesados de participar en una clase cuya misión sería la de dar estudios bíblicos en casa. "Por tanto, id, y hacer discípulos a todas las naciones…” Esas fueron algunas de las últimas palabras que Jesús habló a sus discípulos antes de que se elevara a los cielos. Todo el propósito de la vida, muerte y resurrección de Cristo fue para salvar al mundo. Ese objetivo solamente se puedo llevar a cabo por sus discípulos que fueran adelante a enseñar a otros. No todo el mundo puede dar estudios bíblicos, ni todos pueden predicar, sanar a los enfermos y hacer milagros. Pero todos podemos hablar de Jesúscristo. Todo el mundo puede hablar a sus vecinos, amigos y familiares acerca de Jesús y lo que Él ha hecho en nuestras vidas. Todos podemos ser un ganador de almas! Si sus amigos, vecinos, compañeros de trabajo o familiares están interesados, dígales de nuestro programa de estudios bíblicos. Estos maestros gustosamente establecerán un tiempo y lugar a su conveniencia donde pueden aprender acerca de Jesús y de su plan de salvación. Vivimos en un mundo de dolor, de sufrimiento, del abuso de drogas y el alcoholismo, de la depresión, el suicidio y la desesperación. Jesús es la respuesta y puede hacer milagros en la vida de otros como lo ha hecho en nuestras vidas.
