As you are leaving the parking lot, turn right onto Ballpark Road and to 1.1 miles. Turn right onto Sherman St. (corner by the Meade County Courthouse). Continue on Sherman St. through two stop signs. Cross the intersection and you will see the Sherman Street Entrance to the Sturgis Public Library.

The main entrance of the Sturgis Public Library faces west on 2nd St. The map below shows its location.

When you enter the doors, you will see the doors that lead into the main library section. An elevator is to the left which will take you upstairs.

When you go through the doors pictured above, you will see the main desk in front of you, the magazine racks just to your left and then you will see the adult fiction sections.

To the right of the main desk, you will see a set of stairs that will take you to the adult nonfiction section.

After you pass the nonfiction section, you will see the upstairs help desk and the computer section.

The teen book collection is pictured below to the left and the Loft for Teens to the right. The Loft is a quiet area for visiting and using computers.

If you use the elevator to reach the second floor, this is the lobby. You go through the door right of the bathrooms, and you will see the Teen Books ahead and the help desk to your right.

Sturgis Brown High School, 12930 SD Highway 34, Sturgis, SD 57785 As you leave the parking lot of the high school, turn right and travel 4.3 miles on Highway 34 (Lazelle St.). When you reach the second traffic light on 2nd Street, turn left and go two blocks. The Sturgis Public Library will be to the left of the street.
