Dear ECC Families, How wonderful to finally get a chance to celebrate with a parade. Our students enjoyed the opportunity to welcome spring and recognize Earth Day. Thank you to all our parents and siblings who joined in our parade today. On Tuesday the ECC hosted an exciting afternoon of Science. There were dancing raisins, bubbling dishes of lava, rain clouds and wind machines. We appreciate the great turnout! Our next Family Event will be our Spring Open House on Wednesday, May 11th, from 5:30 to 6:30. We hope to see you for lots of fun activities and the opportunity to tour our classrooms. The new village bocce ball court adjacent to the preschool entrance is nearing completion. Due to the even more challenging than usual parking situation, we ask you to please make sure to allow yourself ample time to arrive and park legally to drop off and pick up your child. The Elmwood Park Police continue to support the safety of our students with their presence, and we as parents to also make safety a priority. Someone Special Day is almost here. On Friday, April 29th students are encouraged to invite Someone Special to participate in a classroom activity in the am class and in the pm class. Light refreshments will be served after the activity. Kindergarten parents please note……Our End of the Year Ceremony for Kindergarten will take place at Elmwood Park High School on Tuesday, May 24th at 9:30 am and 1:15 pm. Please stay tuned for more info…. Our Staff Star of the Week is Mrs. Caroline Vengazo. Mrs. Vengazo is enjoying her second year working with kindergarteners at the ECC as a Reading Specialist. She loves seeing our kindergarteners grow as readers and writers and instill a love of literacy at an early age. In her spare time, Mrs. Vengazo loves to cook in the kitchen, spend time at the library, swim on a Master’s swim team, and try to keep up with the busy schedules of her two daughters in second & third grade and her son in Pre-K.

Estimadas Familias del Centro ECC, Que maravilloso el poder finalmente tener la oportunidad de celebrar con una parada. Nuestros estudiantes disfrutaron la oportunidad de darle la bienvenida a la primavera y darle reconocimiento al Día de La Tierra. Thank you to all our parents and siblings who joined in our parade today. El martes el Centro ECC organizo una excitante tarde de Ciencias. Hubo pasas bailadoras, platos de lava burbujeante, nueves de lluvia y máquinas de viento. ¡Apreciamos la gran concurrencia! Nuestro próximo Evento Familiar será el Casa Abierta de Primavera el miércoles 11 de mayo, de 5:30 a 6:30. Esperamos verlos para que puedan disfrutar de una gran cantidad de actividades divertidas y la oportunidad de visitar las aulas. La nueva “Cancha de Bochas” (bocce ball court) del pueblito adyacente a la entrada del aula preescolar, ya está casi completa. Debido a la situación de estacionamiento, todavía más difícil de lo normal, le pedimos que por favor se asegure de darse suficiente tiempo para llegar a la escuela y estacionarse legalmente durante las llegadas y salidas para recoger a su niño. El Departamento de la Policía de Elmwood Park continúa apoyando la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes con su presencia, también le suplicamos a nuestros padres que hagan de la seguridad una prioridad. El Día de Alguien Especial está casi aquí. El viernes 29 de abril, se anima a los estudiantes a invitar a Alguien Especial a participar de algunas actividades en el aula, en la clase de am y la clase de pm. Se servirán algunos refrigerios después de las actividades. Padres con niños en el Kindergarten ATENCION……Nuestra Ceremonia de Final de Año para el Kindergarten se llevara a cabo en la Escuela Superior de Elmwood Park el martes 24 de mayo a las 9:30 am y a las 1:15 pm. Por favor manténgase al tanto para más información…. Nuestro Personal Estrella de La Semana es la Señora Caroline Vengazo. La Señora Vengazo está disfrutando de su segundo año de estar trabajando con estudiantes del kindergarten en el Centro ECC como Especialista de Lectura. Ella disfruta de ver a nuestros estudiantes del kindergarten crecer como lectores y escritores e inculcarles el amor por la literatura a una edad temprana. En su tiempo libre, La Señora Vengazo le encanta cocinar, pasar tiempo en la biblioteca, nadir en el equipo de Natación Maestro y de tratar de mantenerse al paso con el horario tan ocupado de sus dos hijas de segundo y tercer grado y su hijo de pre-kínder.

Drodzy Rodzice, Nareszcie mielismy okazje zorganizowac parade na swiezym powietrzu. Uczniowie cieszyli sie mozliwoscia przywitania wiosny i uczczenia Miedzynarodowego Dnia Ziemi. Dziekujemy wszystkim rodzicom i rodzenstwu za udzial w tym dzisiejszym wydarzeniu. We wtorek ECC stalo sie miejscem ekscytujacego popoludnia z nauka. Byly tanczace rodzynki, naczynia z buzujaca lawa, deszczowe chmury i maszyny wytwarzajace wiatr. Dziekujemy Panstwu za liczny udzial w spotkaniu. Nastepne rodzinne spotkanie odbedzie sie we srode, 11 maja, w godzinach od 5:30 do 6:30. Bedzie to nasz Wiosenny Dzien Otwarty. Mamy nadzieje, ze spotkamy sie z Panstwem w wieczor pelen zabawy. Bedzie to tez okazja na odwiedzenie naszych sal lekcyjnych. Nowe, budowane przez miasto i umiejscowione obok drzwi przedszkolnych, miejsce do gry w bocce ball jest juz prawie gotowe. Budowa utrudnia jeszcze bardziej parkowanie wokol naszego budynku i w zwiazku z tym przypominamy Panstwu o zaplanowaniu dodatkowego czasu na przywiezienie, czy odebranie dzieci ze szkoly. Pomoze to w legalnym zaparkowaniu Panstwa auta. Departament policji w Elmwood Park kontynuuje wspieranie troski o bezpieczenstwo naszych wychowankow poprzez swoja obecnosc wokol szkoly. Wszystkich rodzicow prosimy rowniez o wsparcie. Dzien Kogos Specjalnego juz coraz blizej. W piatek, 29 kwietnia, zachecamy naszych uczniow do zaproszenia do szkoly Specjalnej Osoby na wspolne zajecia w klasie. Poranne celebrowanie rozpocznie sie o godzinie 10 rano, a popoludniowe o 2 po poludniu. Planujemy tez niewielki poczestunek po zajeciach. Rodzicow uczniow klas zerowych - prosze o zaznaczenie w kalendarzu ……Program na zakonczenie nauki w klasie zerowej odbedzie sie w budynku liceum Elmwood Park, we wtorek, 24 maja, o godzinie 9:30 rano i 1:15 po poludniu. Wiecej informacji wkrotce. Gwiazda Tygodnia wsrod naszych nauczycieli jest pani Caroline Vengazo. Pani Vengazo cieszy sie drugim rokiem pracy w klasach zerowych w ECC jako Specjalista Nauki Czytania. Uwielbia obserowac postepy uczniow w nauce czytania i pisania, a takze wzbudzac zaintersowanie ksiazka od najmlodszych lat. W wolnym czasie pani Vengazo kocha gotowanie, spedzanie czasu w bibliotece, plywanie w Mistrzowskiej Lidze, a takze asystowanie w pelnym zajec dniu trojki swoich dzieci, corek w klasie drugiej i trzeciej i syna w przedszkolu.
