Ciclo B – 13 de mayo del 2018
The Ascension of the Lord
¡Aleluya!
Where did he go? Many times when we think of those who have died, we imagine escape from this world to a purely spiritual place. Jesus' Ascension can leave us in a place of confusion. What happens to Jesus? And why does this matter to us? The Ascension has been confirmed in the Creed for two millennia. In Jesus' Ascension, we're invited to consider our own ultimate end. Regardless of death's reality now, we believe in the resurrection of the body and the reunification of body and soul. One day, earth and heaven will meet perfectly and without end. We anticipate this "new heaven and a new earth" at every Mass and throughout the beauty, truth, and love of the Church and her members. Today, celebrate a foreshadowing of the fullness we all await! ©2013 Liturgical Publica!ons Inc.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for all of the support we have received from our church family during this difficult time. We greatly appreciate all the prayers, cards, flowers, plants and hugs!!! A special Thank You to those who served at the wake and funeral services; it has been a great comfort to be surrounded by so many caring people. May God Bless You All!!! Sincerely, The Sbrusch Family.

Let us pray… Good and gracious God, creator of all good things in the universe, your Son, Jesus Christ, loved his Mother and modeled for us how we should love our mothers. Bless all the women in our lives who model for us the love of a mother. Protect them and encourage them to love as you have loved us. Bless and protect those men in families who have no female partners and give them courage and strength to love their children in the absence of a mother. We ask all this in your name. Amen.
O my God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love about all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name, my God, have mercy. Amen. Oremos …

For tickets: www.bccounselingcenter.org Synopsis of the Play:
In the small rural town of Havenville, Kentucky, a working class family struggles to find help for their teenage son Andrew, as he battles with a serious mental illness. When Andrew's mother Angela reaches out to an overextended school system, an underfunded community mental health program, and a church community overwhelmed by Andrew's anti- social behavior, her cries for help fall on deaf ears. The Mental State explores the human story behind the newscasts, and asks how we as a national community can address the urgent issue of untreated teenage mental illness.
“Eucharistic Procession” This procession that will be held on Sunday, June 10 immediately after the 10:00 a.m. Mass, will be our parish celebration of the Feast of Corpus Christi: Solemnity of the Body and Blood of the Lord. Eucharistic Processions are an ancient practice which express outwardly our love of Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament, our desire to proclaim this to others, and our realization that this presence is not just for us, but for the whole world. it is a wonderful opportunity to make a public statement of faith that Jesus is truly present in the Blessed Sacrament and remains with us always in our everyday lives. At the conclusion of the 10:00 a.m. Mass, we will process the Blessed Sacrament, exposed in a monstrance, outdoors and into the surrounding neighborhood streets. There will be singing, readings and a stop along the way for prayers and benediction to help us joyfully praise Christ, present in the Blessed Sacrament. It will take approximately 30 minutes and is a wonderful opportunity for families and parish organizations to show how we follow the Lord in all we do. Children who recently made their first Holy Communion are encouraged to dress in their white communion clothing and join the procession. More information will be coming soon. Mark your calendars and plan to participate is 7 this beautiful Catholic custom.
