Introduction The KA55 features a 3-speed fan and automatic timer that can be programmed for 0.5 to 8 hours. The automatic louver swing function provides directional control and the remote control provides convenience. (2 x AAA batteries not included). KA55 also features a low water warning system that shuts off pump when water level is below minimum to give you peace of mind. The KA55 portable evaporative cooler is the latest in evaporative cooling technology from Port-A-Cool, LLC, manufacturer of

! WARNINGS AND SAFETY RULES ▲ Basic safety precautions should always be followed when using any electrical appliance. 1. This unit is intended for indoor use. Any other use is not recommended and may cause fire, electric hazard, or injury to persons or property, and may void the warranty. 2. Unplug the unit from power outlet when filling or draining water tank. 3. Unplug the unit from power outlet when moving the unit. 4. Unplug the unit from power outlet when cleaning or servicing. 5. Do not detach water tank while unit is plugged into a power !outlet. 6. Do not detach water tank while unit is running. 7. Do not use the unit in areas where gasoline, paint or any other flammable chemicals are stored. 8. Extreme caution should be taken when used near children and the elderly. The unit should not be left unattended for any extended period of time while in operation. 9. Do not let children play with any packaging material. 10. Do not operate the unit with a damaged power cord. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. 11. Do not attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions of the unit. 12. The unit should run on 120V 60Hz AC only.

Cleaning: Dampen a clean cloth with water and use it on the exterior of the unit to remove any dust or dirt. Never use harsh detergents, solvents, and corrosive cleaners to clean the unit. When not in use, drain the water tank and store the unit in an area where it is dry and out of sunlight.
REMOTE CONTROL
Maintenance: Regular draining, at least once each week, will decrease the water mineral build up and extend the life of the pad. A damp cloth can be used to remove calcium build-up inside and outside of the unit. When operating the unit, turn off pump pressing the COOL button until indicator light goes off, to dry out the pad before shutting off. The inside of the water tank!can be cleaned once or twice in a season to maintain air quality.

Deep Clean: The KA55 comes with an easily removable water tank. Make sure the unit is unplugged from the power outlet. Unclip the water tank locking clips on both sides. Lift up the body of the unit and lay it gently on the floor. Be cautious of the pump swing arm and make sure the pump swing arm folds horizontally. Clean the tank with water and soft cloth. You may use mild soap or detergent. Removing the Cooling Pad: Remove the screws holding the rear grille assembly and remove the assembly. Unsnap both ends of the cooling pad retainer bars (2) and remove the cooling pad. Using water and soft brush clean the cooling pad of debris, dirt and mineral build ups. Be sure to clean the top of the cooling pad. Do not use any cleaning agent.

All transportation charges on parts submitted for replacement or repair under this warranty must be borne by the purchaser.
For one year from date of installation, Port-A-Cool, LLC, warrants any original component part or parts of the KuulAire™ evaporative unit found, upon examination by factory authorized personnel, to be defective in material or workmanship. Due to warranty limits placed on our component parts by the original manufacturers, our warranty is limited on manufactured units and their original component parts, as well as replacement parts to a total of one (1) year after the date of installation.
To obtain service under this warranty, contact the dealer where you purchased your evaporative cooler. As a final step, if you cannot locate your dealer, please contact customer service at Port-A-Cool, LLC. Please include your name, address and ZIP code, the model number and serial number of your evaporative cooler, date of installation, and a description of your problem.

Limpieza: Humedezca un paño limpio con agua y utilícelo en el exterior de la unidad para quitar cualquier polvo o suciedad. Nunca utilice detergentes ásperos, solventes o limpiadores corrosivos para limpiar la unidad. Apague la unidad, desenchúfela, drene la reserva de agua y almacene la unidad en un área seca y fuera de luz del sol.

Mantenimiento: Drene la unidad una vez por semana, esto disminuye la acumulación de sarro y prolonga la vida del filtro. Un paño húmedo se puede utilizar para quitar la acumulación del calcio interior y exterior la unidad. Faire attention au bas oscillant de la pompe et s’assurer que le bras oscillant se plie à l’horizontal. Nettoyer le réservoir avec de l’eau et un tissu doux. Un savon ou un détergent doux peut être utilisé. Déposer le panneau de refroidissement: Déposer les vis retenant la grille arrière et retirer cette grille. Détacher les deux extrémités des barres de retenue du panneau refroidisseur et déposer ce panneau. À l’aide d’eau et d’une brosse douce, nettoyer le panneau refroidisseur pour enlever toutes traces de débris, de saleté et d’accumulations de minéraux. KuulAire™ unités portatives de refroidissement par évaporation par Port-A-Cool, LLC, Center, Texas Pendant une année après la date d’installation, Port-A-Cool LLC garantit toute pièce originale de l’unité de refroidissement par évaporation KuulAireTM jugée, après examen par le personnel d’usine autorisé, posséder une défectuosité matérielle ou d’assemblage en usine. En raison des limites de garantie offertes sur nos composants par les fabricants originaux, notre garantie est limitée aux unités fabriquées en usine et à leur pièces originales et aux pièces de remplacement jusqu’au total d’une (1) année après la date d’installation.

Si ledit équipement développe les défauts mentionnés pendant cette période, il sera réparé ou remplacé à votre choix. En cas de violation des conditions écrites ou implicites de la garantie de ce produit, Port-A-Cool, LLC ne sera pas tenue responsable pour tout dommage relatif ou conséquent.
Tous les frais de transport pour les pièces nécessaires aux remplacements de pièces ou aux réparations dans le cadre de cette garantie seront à la charge de l’acheteur. Pour obtenir du service dans le cadre de cette garantie, communiquer avec le détaillant où le refroidisseur par évaporation a été acheté. En dernier recours, s’il est impossible de retrouver le détaillant, communiquer avec le service à la clientèle de Port-A-Cool, LLC. Prière d’indiquer vos nom, adresse et code postal, de même que le numéro de modèle et le numéro de série du refroidisseur par évaporation, la date d’installation et la description du problème.

Cette garantie s’annule automatiquement s’il est jugé que ! l’équipement a été utilisé incorrectement ou abusivement, ou a fait l’objet d’une intervention par du personnel non autorisé. Ne pas utiliser des nettoyeurs de climatiseurs, des traitements de climatiseur ou tout autre additif dans le refroidisseur par évaporation. L’utilisation de n’importe lequel de ces produits annulera automatiquement la garantie et pourrait affecter la durée de vie du refroidisseur par évaporation.
