Industrial Turnover Indices (ITI). Base 2010 April 2017. Provisional data

The monthly variation of the General Industry Turnover Index 1 stands at -0.2%, after adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects The annual rate stands at 7.6% in the series adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, and at -3.9% in the original series

Monthly evolution of the Industry Turnover The monthly variation of the General Industry Turnover Index between the months of April and March was -0.2%, after adjusting for the seasonal and calendar effects. This rate is one tenth lower than that of the previous month.

Annual evolution of the Industrial Turnover Indices The General Industrial Turnover Index (ITI), after adjusting for seasonal and calendar effects, registered a variation of 7.6% in April, as compared with the same month of the previous year. This rate is eight tenths higher than that registered in March. The ITI original series registered a -3.9% annual variation. This rate is 19.5 points lower than that registered in March. By economic destination of the goods, the indices adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects recorded positive annual rates in four out of the five sectors analysed. Energy registered the highest increase (34.6%) and Capital goods registered the only decrease (-1.1%).

Results by Autonomous Community. Annual variation rates of the Industrial turnover. Original series Turnover increased in five Autonomous Communities and decreased in the remaining twelve as compared to April 2016. The highest increases were recorded in Región de Murcia (12.1%), Andalucía (7.5%) and Extremadura (4.7%), while the highest decreases took place in Castilla y León (-15.6%), Comunidad Foral de Navarra (-12.5%) and La Rioja (-11.2%).
