Make Art, Make a Difference Art Show for Advocacy!

Submit your original artwork illustrating your school pride and your love for Port Chester, and help to get the attention of our representatives in Albany to advocate for us so we can do more and make our village even better.

Some themes could be:

~ Your amazing teachers ~ Your favorite school events ~ ~ The Port Chester band ~ Our theater program ~ Our sports teams ~ ~ Our Little League ~ Your friends ~



~ Whatever comes to mind when you think about Port Chester and your own school spirit ~

All entries will be part of the art show. One image from each level (Elem, MS/HS) will be reproduced on a postcard, launching a postcard campaign addressing our representatives in the NY Senate and Assembly and our Governor in support of increasing our rightful allocation of Foundation Aid.

{ Foundation Aid is determined each year through the state budget. The money we receive is used for much needed programming and services. Your participation in this art show will help us bring our State Government’s leaders’ attention to Port Chester so we can keep the great things we do have and add the things we really need, such as elementary art teachers, librarians, and many other necessary programs and services to ensure the success of every child in our district. }

ATTENTION ARTISTS:

Entries can be a collaboration or a solo project and should be on paper no bigger than 9”x12.”

Entries are due by FEBRUARY 26, 2019 and should be submitted to your school office.
