SUMMARY
During the first half of 2016, Medellin faced an orange alert due to air pollution, which according to the city’s environmental authorities causes 9.2% of the natural deaths. Looking to make a contribution, we designed a campaign to raise awareness and donate a real forest to the city; we invited visitors to jump on our Bouncy Forest and places over the city and post their pictures to our social media, and for each post Santafe would donate U$ 1.70 to plant trees. Thanks to the participation of our clients, we donated US $ 8.333 with which we planted 150 trees of native species in areas surrounding the Shopping Center.

We partnered with the Mayor's Office and Metropolitan Area entities to better decide the appropriate species, defining planting sites and logistics.

Each tree has a locator that allows its tracking and conservation through the Urban Tree System.
With the guide of the local Botanical Garden, we planted native species such as Zapote, Nispero, Guayabo Común, Palma Corozo, Bread Tree and Romeron Pine, which contribute to the diversity of the local flora and to the associated fauna, in 3 creeks close to the mall.

Santafe’s initiative derived in an ongoing program of the Metropolitan Environmental Area promoting private-public alliances and joint actions to plant trees in hope of improving the quality of air.

We succeeded mobilizing our network followers for this environmental responsibility campaign, by producing 4,580 publications with the hashtag #unbosqueparamedellin. 7.298 likes and 215 shares were made as well.
