FES - FREEDOM ELEMENTARY Chair Persons of CNA campus committees prioritize needs and recommend to SBDM Committee initiatives/strategies/activities that will meet campus needs. SBDM Committee will approve initiatives/strategies/activities that will be placed in Campus Improvement Plan

Teacher Quality Needs : 1. Our campus continues to strive for 100% of our teachers be GT certified. 2. Push for all teachers at Freedom Elementary to have Bilingual certification.

Strategies : 1. During the 2018-2019 school year we will try to provide teachers the opportunity to become GT certified. 2.During the 2018-2019 school year teachers will be provided with information on upcoming Bilingual certification training sessions so that they may attend and receive certification.

Data Sources : 1. Kinder teachers who are not GT certified are attending the 30 hour GT certification training. Other teacher who are not certified have been given the information and necessary links to become certified throughout the school year and during Summer Learning opportunities.

Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment Needs : 1. Teachers feel they need more instructional trainings that focus on Vocabulary development and practice. 2. Teachers feel they need consumable STAAR materials to support the regular curriculum and better prepare students for the State assessments.

Strategies : 1. Vocabulary strategies and activities (Vocabulary Bee) will be provided to all teachers throughout the 2018-2019 school year. 2. Workbooks that are STAAR formatted will be purchased for the different content areas that are tested for 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.

Data Sources : 1. Vocabulary activities will be provided by the Reading Intervention teachers to be implemented in the classroom. 2. Campus budget will be utilized to purchase consumable STAAR materials to help support and enrich the curriculum.

School Context and Organization Needs : 1. The Committee recommends that more teachers get involved in the decision making policies of the school, they are recommending that 2 teachers per grade level get voted in to represent them during SBDM meetings.

Strategies : 1. Campus committees will be asked for input on different activities at the campus level through grade level meetings, survey monkey, faculty meetings and emails. Each grade level will vote in 2 faculty members for representation during all SBDM meetings and will be responsible to turnkey information to the rest of the grade level.

Technology Needs : 1. More in depth training on the effective use of the interactive flat panels in the classrooms at the beginning of the year. 2. Students need to learn how to use their emails. 3. Implementation of more technology into the lessons (T-TESS requirements) 4. Student headphones are needed for both computer labs.

Strategies : 1. Plan Technology trainings through our Instructional Technology Department. 2. Through library classes, students will navigate and practice the appropriate and safe use of email accounts. 2. Submit support forms so that curriculum and instruction coordinators can come in and provide teachers with a modeled lesson that they can learn and turn key in their classrooms. 3. Headphones will be purchased for student use in the campus computer labs.

Family Content & Organization Needs : 1. Increase the number of parental activities throughout the school year. 2. Each grade level will create parenting sessions for their parents to come and participate in. 3. Have 2 Report Card Nights (1 per semester) where parents have to come to school to pick up their child's report card.

Strategies : 1. Parents will be invited to Parent Bee Pic Nics throughout the year. 2. A parent activity will be hosted by each grade level on a monthly basis. 3. 2 report cards nights per year will be planned so that parents may attend in the evenings.

Strategies : 1. Provide teachers with different trainings on delivery of instruction strategies that focus on closing learning and achievement gaps.

School Climate and Culture Needs : 1. Increase the feeling of safety on campus by providing more updated safety trainings. 2. Counselor's Wall to promote positivity among teachers and staff. 3. Increase extracurricular activities on campus for next year (basketball, soccer, etc). 4. Promote more teacher representation in SBDM committee by voting in 2 representatives per grade level.

Strategies : 1. Periodic trainings will be provided throughout the year to increase safety awareness and safety procedures in case of an emergency. 2. A wall will be designated so that all faculty and staff members may post a positive note to another fellow employee. 3. Volunteers will be recruited so that more clubs and activities be sponsored throughout the school year. 4. Voting will take place on the first campus faculty and staff meeting to vote in 2 SBDM members by grade level and have more representation.

El Comite Escolar de SBDM aprobara iniciativas/ estrategias,y actividades que seran incluidas en el CIP escolar. Calidad Docente Necesidades : 1. Nuestra escuela continuara sus esfuerzos en alcanzar la meta de que el 100% de nuestros maestros sean certificados en el programa de GT. 2. Seguir promocionando y proporcionando oportunidades para que los maestros obtengan su certificacion bilingue.

Estrategias : 1. Durante el año escolar 2018-2019 trataremos de otorgarles a los maestros la oportunidad de certificarse bajo el programa de GT. 2. Durante el ño escolar 2018-2019 se les proporcionará mas información a los maestros acerca de entrenamientos hacia la certicicación

Fuentes de Datos 1. Las maestras de Kinder que aun no se han certificado bajo el programa GT, asistiran a un entrenamiento de 30 horas para su certificación. Otras maestras/os que no esten certificados, se les dará la informacion necesaria para que busquen su certificación durante los cursos de verano de desarrollo profesional que otorga el Distrito escolar.

El Comite Escolar de SBDM aprobara iniciativas/ estrategias,y actividades que seran incluidas en el CIP escolar. Plan de Estudios, Enseñanza y Evaluación Necesidades : 1. Los maestros/as sienten que les hace falta mas entrenamientos enfocados en el desarrollo y practica de vocabulario. 2. Los maestros/as sienten que les hace falta cuadernos de ejecricio y practica que apoyen el curriculum establecido para mejor prepara a los alumnos para el Examen Estatal de STAAR.

Estrategias 1. Estrategias de vocabulario y practicas (Vocabulary Bee) serán proporcionadas a los maestros durante el año escolar 2018-2019. 2. Cuadernos de ejercicio y de practica compatibles con el examen estatal de STAAR seran comprados para las diferentes areas evaluadas para los grados de 2ndo, 3ero, 4to, y 5to.

Fuentes de Datos 1. Actividades de vocabulario serán proporcionados por la maestra de Intervenciín de Lectura para los demas maestros paraque sean implementados en sus salones. 2. El presupuesto escolar será utilizado para comprar cuadernos de ejercicio /practica que sean compatibles con el examen estatal de STAAR para apoyar y enriquecer el curriculum.

El Comite Escolar de SBDM aprobara iniciativas/ estrategias,y actividades que seran incluidas en el CIP escolar. Contexto y Organización Escolar Necesidaes : 1. El Comite recomienda que mas maestros esten involucrados en el Comite SBDM la cual se encarga de hacer las polizas y reglas de la escuela. Ellos recomiendan al menos 2 maestros por grados sean integrados al Comite SBDM y que asistan a las juntas.

Estrategias : 1. Los Comites escolares seran participes de encuestas, juntas, y correos electronicos asi como en votar para hacer pasar desiciones tomadas. Cada grado deberá tener al menos 2 representantes en cada junta y será el responsable de pasar la información obtenida alli a sus compañeros de grado.

El Comite Escolar de SBDM aprobara iniciativas/ estrategias,y actividades que seran incluidas en el CIP escolar. Tecnologia Necesidades: 1. Mas entrenamientos a fondo sobre el uso efectivo de las pantallas interactivas en los salones de clase en el principio del año escolar. 2. Los alumnos deben de aprender como usar sus correos electronicos para ejercicios educativos.. 3. Implementación de mas tecnologia en nuestras lecciones diarias. Es un requisito de TTESS. 4. Los alumnos necesitan audifonos para las dos aulas de computación.

Estrategias : 1. Planear y efectuar capacitación Tecnologica por medio de nuestro departamento de Tecnología Educativa. 2. Someter s. documentacion de apoyo paraque las Coordinadoras del Departamento de Instruccióon puedan venir y llevar a cabo capacitaciones donde pueden modelar lecciones que los maestros/as podran usar en sus salones de clase. 3. Se compraran audifonos para los alumnos y serán usados en la clase de computación.

Incrementar el sentimiento de seguridad en la escuela proporcionando entrenamientos y capacitación sobre la seguridad escolar. 2. La Pared Positiva de la Consejera donde se expondran mensajes positivos sobre nuestros colegas.. 3. Incrementar las actividades extracurriculares en la escuela este año escolar. (basketbol, futbol soccer). 4. Promover mas representación de los maestros en el Comite de SBDM teniendo 2 maestros por grado.

Estrategias 1. Capacitaciones periodicas durante el año escolar para incrementar Periodic trainings will be provided throughout the year to increase safety awareness and safety procedures in case of an emergency. 2. Una pared será designada para que todos los empleados puedan exponer sus comentarios positivos y de aliento hacia los demas. 3. Voluntarios serán reclutados para llevar a cabo mas actividades y clubes durante el año escolar. 4. Votaciones se llevaran a cabo en la primer junta escolar con los empleados donde votaremos para agregar y obtener al menos 2 representantes de SBDM por grado y asi lograr mas representación.
