Meet our ManageMent Manuel Ramirez, Hides & Yards Supervisor Manuel started 12/18/1988 with Cargill. His first job was on the rolling crew folding hides on the production crew. Later, he moved to the fleshing crew and learned other jobs in the area. “When I started we would work 2 weeks on day shift and 2 weeks on night shift. In about 1990, they changed it to set shifts and I went to 2nd shift and I have been on 2nd shift every since.” Manuel was safety representative for 3 years then lead man. He became Yards and Hides supervisor in 1997. Manuel and his wife Isayadet Ramirez have been together 30 years. Together they have 2 children, Roselia and Juan and 2 grandchildren, Esteban, 5 and Sophia, 10 months. Manuel enjoys taking walks with his wife, cooking out and barbequing. More than anything, though, he just enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.

Promotions Tyler Luft has nearly 30 years of Cargill experience under his belt. Tyler started in Sterling, CO as an hourly employee, then transferred to Friona, TX as a QA supervisor. He soon accepted the role of Specification Superintendent in Plainview Texas. While in Plainview, Tyler also worked as Regulatory Superintendent, Harvest Superintendent and QA (now FSQR) Manager. Tyler Moved to Dodge City, KS in 2006 to become Harvest Manager. In 2013, Tyler Moved to Fort Morgan, CO as the Harvest Manager. Tyler returned to Kansas just over a year later as Fab Manager to run the Fab/Cut side of the business. With the diversity of his experience, Tyler has been promoted to Assistant General Manager.

Joseph Kriewald has been promoted to Electrical Supervisor. Joseph has worked with Cargill over 15 years, all of that time in either the Electrical or Electronic department. Joseph grew up in Nebraska. He and his wife Jenifer have 5 children and one granddaughter. Congratulations Joseph!

Hiring Team Recognized Cargill production teams recognized the hiring team, Jose Trejo, Hiring Manager; Julissa Garcia and Maggie Izewska, hiring clerks, last week. “We appreciate how hard you work trying to understand what the new candidate wants to do and explaining the ins and outs of that job to the employee, we rarely move people from a job they are hired for because they don’t feel blindsided when they arrive to work.” Richard Rowell, Harvest Manager. The team has had career fairs and worked with production to help staff the plant correctly. “The Hiring Center Team plays a critical role in finding and selecting talent for our plant.
