Orquesta Informal de Rosario, or O.I.R. (“to ear”, in spanish) is a mixture of latin-gipsy orchestra, that offers an audio-visual amusing journey blending different styles of world music such as; ska, cumbia, rumba flamenca, gipsy swing, balcan, tango and more.. Their tragicomic frontman always interacts with the public and includes them in their original and energetic performance. The band is created in 2009 by Sergio Provenzano (ex Rosario Smowing) and with 2 albums and a DVD live, they attract big crowds on events and ventures trough out Argentina and latinamerica countries. Influences: Manu Chao, Onda Vaga, Gogoll Bordello, Zaz, Brian Setzer, Emir Kusturika, Fabulosos Cadillacs and many more!
-JAN/2011 1ST BRASIL TOUR: a reduced OIR group goes to Rio de Janeiro and Buzios, and play in the streets of Brasil for the first time. -APR/2011 1ST ALBUM PRESENTATION: in Sala Mano a Mano with a sold out show and excelent reviws on media. -MAR/2012 2ND ALBUM AND DVD PRESENTATION: recordered live in Sala Lavardén Theather, Rosario -JAN/2015 1ST URUGUAY TOUR: more than 30 shows in Montevideo, La Pedrera, Cabo Polonio, Punta del Diablo y Punta del Este; including 10 performances in ENJOY-CONRAD, the Atlantic coast most important hotel and casino. -MAR/2015 3RD ALBUM RECORDING SESSIONS: the band is working on their next album with more latin influence, new instruments like bandoneón and latin percussion and new original music. -JUL/2015 FINALIST IN CEROVENTICINCO COMPETITION: Rosario, Argentina.-
