Business Information Management I The Business Information Management I course consists of the implementing of personal and interpersonal skills to strengthen individual performance in the workplace and in society. Students will learn how to apply technical and presentational skills within a team and independently. These skills include the use of the Microsoft Office Suite 2016 which is a package of productivity software that includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, and Outlook that can be used to create word-processing documents, spreadsheets, electronic presentations, databases, desktop publishing documents, and calendars, respectively. In addition, students will have the opportunity to get the Microsoft Office Specialist industry certification in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Students will also learn how to use the online Google applications such as Docs, Slides, and Sheets to create similar business documents when Microsoft Office is not available. Throughout this course, students will have the opportunity to learn the appropriate keyboarding skills and use the computer’s operating system to execute work responsibilities such as move files in the computer operating system, create directories, save files such as plain text, PDF, rich text format, and older versions of word-processing software.
Administración de empresas I El curso de Gestión de Información Empresarial I consiste en la implementación de habilidades personales e interpersonales para fortalecer el desempeño individual en el lugar de trabajo y en la sociedad. Los estudiantes aprenderán a aplicar las habilidades técnicas y de presentación dentro de un equipo e independientemente. Estas habilidades incluyen el uso de Microsoft Office Suite 2016 que es un paquete de software de productividad que incluye Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher y Outlook que se pueden utilizar para crear documentos de procesamiento de textos, hojas de cálculo, presentaciones electrónicas, bases de datos, documentos de edición electrónica y calendarios, respectivamente. Business Information Management II This course is the continuation of the Business Information Management I course. In this course, students will apply advanced technical and presentational skills to address business applications. Students will learn to create complex word-processing documents, sophisticated spreadsheets using graphs and charts, advanced databases, desktop publishing documents and presentations using the appropriate multimedia software. Consequently, students will have the opportunity to get the Microsoft Office Specialist industry certification in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook in either the expert or master level. In this course, students will continue to improve teamwork skills by completing multiple group projects that require project management skills such as initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing a business project. Students will create a professional electronic portfolio that includes information such as technical skill competencies, certifications, awards, community service, career and technical student organizations, extracurricular activities, a resume, samples of work, and an evaluation from a previous teacher. Students will then present the portfolio to all interested stakeholders.

Administración de empresas II Este curso es la continuación del curso de Gestión de la Información Empresarial I. En este curso, los estudiantes aplicarán técnicas avanzadas y habilidades de presentación para abordar aplicaciones de negocios. Los estudiantes aprenderán a crear complejos documentos de procesamiento de textos, sofisticadas hojas de cálculo utilizando gráficos y gráficos, bases de datos avanzadas, documentos de edición electrónica y presentaciones utilizando el software multimedia apropiado. Principles of Business, Marketing, and Finance In this course, students will gain knowledge and skills in economies and private enterprise systems, the impact of global business, marketing of goods and services, advertising, and product pricing. Students will also analyze the sales process and financial management principles that include planning, organizing, controlling and monitoring financial resources. In addition, students will be introduced to the different types of business ownerships, supply and demand, business ethics, and business cycles. Students will also differentiate between the types of economic systems with emphasis on the private enterprise systems and the U.S. economy. Furthermore, students will identify the role and impact of government, the legal system, and organized labor in the business world. During the process of this course, students will also demonstrate an understanding of personal financial management such as calculating gross and net pay, opening and closing different types of bank accounts, reconcile bank statements, and different types of bank services. This course also offers students the opportunity to collaborate with others and become effective and efficient team players. Students will research career opportunities within the Business Management and Administration, Finance, and Marketing career clusters to develop an individual career plan.

Los estudiantes investigarán oportunidades de carrera dentro de los grupos de carrera de Administración y Administración de Empresas, Finanzas y Marketing para desarrollar un plan de carrera individual.
