Governmental Advisory Committee Issues ICANN61 Communiqué The Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) Communiqué from ICANN61 is available for review here. ICANN receives input from governments through the GAC. Its key role is to give advice to ICANN on issues of public policy, especially where there may be an interaction between ICANN activities or policies and national laws or international agreements. The GAC meets three times a year at ICANN Public Meetings, where it discusses issues with the ICANN Board of Directors, Supporting Organizations, Advisory Committees, and other groups.
