The treatment of growing and non-growing patients with high esthetic expectations is always a challenge. Appropriate clinical and radiographic examination is critical to make a correct diagnosis and create a comprehensive treatment plan with the whole team: orthodontist, periodontist, oral surgeon and restorative dentist. The treatment plan involving different dental specialties, mainly its treatment sequence, could be overwhelming. This full-day lecture will review orthodontic, periodontal, functional and esthetic considerations from the team approach point of view. It will introduce a new systematic process to evaluate critical parameters for diagnosis and successful treatment planning. Topics: 1. Interdisciplinary treatment plan: Perio-Ortho-Prosth complex cases. 2. Perio-Ortho interrelationship: Identifying the periodontal susceptible patient. Patients on risk with gingival recession; Corticotomies-sequence, timing and technique. Is time what matters? Hard and soft tissue management; Impacted and missing teeth; The role of dental implant therapy. 3. The Transverse Dimension: novel approach to optimize skeletal expansion and its impact on interdisciplinary treatment. 4. Obstructive Sleep Apnea and TMD: how can we help? The role of each specialist. 5. Esthetics and Functional Rehabilitation in interdisciplinary dentistry. Case finishing for long lasting treatments.

Los hermanos Blasi obtuvieron su Doctorado en Cirugía Dental en la Universidad Internacional de Catalonia en Barcelona, España y poseen varias publicaciones. Ignacio Blasi es ortodoncista, entrenado en la Universidad de Pennsylvania. Tiene un PhD de la Universidad de Catalonia, y es diplomado del American Board of Orthodontics. Actualmente es catedrático en la Universidad de Pennsylvania, mentor de investigación clínica, práctica privada y de facultad. Gonzalo Blasi es periodoncista, entrenado en la Universidad de Maryland, Baltimore. Alvaro Blasi es prostodoncista, entrenado en la Universidad de Georgia Regents. Actualmente trabaja en su práctica privada en Barcelona.
