GOVERNING BOARD CANDIDATE STATEMENT

CONTINENTAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 39

Sharon Niehaus

I am a member of the current board seeking re-election for 2014-2018 term.

As a member of the Continental Governing Board, I make every effort to listen to concerns and suggestions from the community, parents, and children. I have been a board member for the last four (4) years 2010-2014. I am the Board Clerk and I am a school delegate.

As a Governing Board member of Continental School District No. 39, I will base my decision

on the following points. First, the immediate needs of the students, teachers and parents must be met. To accomplish this I will favor balanced curriculum with emphasis on the three R’s. I will push for responsible guidelines for spending district funds and open

communication between the school board, the superintendent, teachers, and members of

the community. Every child deserves and needs a free and appropriate education tailored to their present and future needs. I will strive to give the school district the highest of moral and ethical leadership into the future.

I have a strong passion for education, and I believe in accountability and transparency, and I believe in fact not conjecture. Sharon Niehaus

DECLARACION DEL CANDIDATO A LA JUNTA DE GOBIERNO DEL DISTRITO ESCOLAR DE PRIMARIA NUM. 39 DE CONTINENTAL Soy miembro de la actual junta que busca ser elegida de nuevo para el mandato de 20142018 .

Como miembro de la Junta de Gobierno de Continental, hago todos los esfuerzos para

escuchar las preocupaciones y sugerencias de los padres y niños de la comunidad. He sido

miembro de la junta durante los últimos cuatro (4) años 2010-2014. Soy la Secretaria de la Junta y soy una delegada escolar.

Como miembro de la Junta de Gobierno del Distrito Escolar No. 39 de Continental, basaré

mis decisiones en los siguientes puntos. Primero, tienen que cubrirse las necesidades inmediatas de los estudiantes, maestros y padres. Para conseguir esto estaré a favor de un

plan de estudios equilibrado con énfasis en las tres R. Haré presión para tener unas guías directrices responsables para gastar los fondos del distrito y una comunicación abierta entre la junta escolar, el superintendente, los maestros y los miembros de la comunidad.

Todos los niños merecen y necesitan una educación libre y adecuada que se ajuste a sus necesidades presentes y futuras. Me esforzaré por conseguir dar al distrito escolar el liderazgo moral y ético más alto hacia el futuro .

Tengo una gran pasión por la educación y creo en la responsabilidad y en la transparencia y creo en los hechos no en las conjeturas . Sharon Niehaus
