MASS INTENTIONS Join us for Mass!

Happy Trinity Sunday! In today's Gospel, we hear Jesus declare together all three Persons of the Trinity. "Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

Saturday, May 26, 2018 Saint Philip Neri, Priest 11:00 am Braun & Aguilar Wedding 5:30 pm †Fred & Kathryn Stevens †John & Antoinette Curry (Elaine)

When we speak of the Trinity, two different theological words are sometimes used: immanent and economic. The immanent Trinity is the life of the three Persons within themselves, the inner harmonious relationship between Father, Son, and Spirit. We see this in the Gospels when Jesus speaks of his Father and promises to send the Holy Spirit. The term "economic" has its roots in the Greek word oikonomia, roughly meaning "household management." The economic Trinity is our three-Personed God's relationship with creation; it is creation and redemption and ongoing relationship with us. Made in the image and likeness of God, we are called to imitate God's immanence by giving and receiving love with one another in community. However, this is not limited only to those close to us, though that's where love often starts. We also imitate the economy of God when we go out, when we extend our love and care in a life-giving way. "Go therefore ?"

Sunday, May 27, 2018 The Most Holy Trinity 7:30 am †Chuck Statz (Traditional Choir) 10:30 am †Colin Perren (Guitar Choir) 1:30 pm The Parish (Hombres de Valor) Monday, May 28, 2018 Memorial Day 9:00 am †Dave Luttmer - Mass at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Wednesday, May 30, 2018 8:00 am The Parish

Every believer is sent on mission. Every believer is invited to follow Jesus and the Apostles "to the nations," to the margins, to the people who require a little extra reach. This could be a distant relative, the residents of your local homeless shelter or even the forgotten neighbor next door! When we love well, we create something beautiful-a relationship, a holy moment, a foretaste of heaven. This Trinity Sunday, take some time to examine the relationships in your life. How well do you love those nearest to you? How well do you reach out to those farther away? How are you creating something beautiful?

PRAY,

Many parishioners were so glad they were able to attend our Lenten retreat with "Miracles of the Eucharist: Science Tests Faith" and wished for more. Others heard about the wonders they had missed and wished to learn more. Good news for all of you! All of you are invited to continue this quest for hope with our summertime Reason to Believe follow-up sessions. This book/Holy Spirit driven discussion takes us through more miracles and reminders about God's love, mercy and forgiveness. What an opportunity! The first of seven of our times together will be Wednesday, June 13th at 6:30PM at St. Patrick. The group will meet every other Wednesday for just an hour and half or less, alternating between St. Patrick and St. Andrew. You are welcome to one or all discussions! Join this heart-opening discussion group by calling St. Patrick at 723-5565 to register to let us know you are coming and get you your free book for the discussions.
