Desde el Escritorio de P. Pat

On October 16, 2002, Pope St. John Paul II declared the year October 2002 to October 2003, the Year of the Rosary, and he wrote a beautiful Apostolic Letter On The Rosary of the Virgin Mary. In it, he tells us the Rosary, at heart, is a Christocentric prayer. He also tells us: “the Rosary is my favorite prayer! A marvelous prayer!... Our hearts can embrace in the decades of the Rosary all the events that make up the lives of individuals, families, nations, the church and all mankind… our personal concerns and those closest to us, who are dearest to us…. the simple prayer of the Rosary marks the rhythm of human life.” This Tuesday, we begin the month of May, a month in our Catholic tradition, dedicated to our Blessed Mother. A month in which we show our love and devotion to our heavenly Mother through our Marian devotion— especially in the recitation of her favorite prayer, the Rosary. As we begin this month, I want to invite each of us to take part in the daily recitation of the Holy Rosary! Here in the parish, animated by ADMA (devotees of Mary Help of Christians), every day, from Monday through Friday, at 6:45PM we will have the recitation of the Rosary in front of the beautiful statue of our Lady of Mercy that is in front of our main Church. We will say the Rosary in different languages— all are invited to give public witness of our love and devotion to our Blessed Mother. All year we recite the Rosary every Saturday morning at 7:40AM before the 8 o’clock Mass— and for the month of May, I am asking that we recite it before all our Sunday Mass. We are living in difficult times. I invite all of us to pray this prayer for peace in the world and for our families. The Rosary, announced by Our Lady herself, is the prayer for peace, and it has always been a prayer of and for the family. We need the help of our Mother in heaven! One of the disappointments I have had is how few of our English speaking families have been willing to make the commitment to take home the Parish Family Rosary to pray for Vocations each week. Are there not enough families willing to take home the Rosary and pray it each night for one week? And certainly, I want families in our other Masses as well to come forward and commit to pray the Rosary in the family for one week. While it is true there are families every week from our other languages Masses to take the Rosary, it is also true that the same families often come forward. Where are the rest? We are a Marian Parish. The Rosary is an important part of our parish family life! The parish has many Marian devotions. However, this month, with the Rosary, I want to ask all of us to prepare for the Procession in Honor of Mary Help of Christians. This year we will have our procession on May 26. When the Cardinal was here in March, he mentioned the importance of turning to the Help of Christians especially at this time when the Catholic faith and Christians are suffering persecution in so many parts of the world. We want to make this procession honoring our Blessed Mother, the best we can! Let’s prepare for it well with the daily recitation of the rosary. We begin the month of Mary— the month when we remember our moms living and deceased. Let’s make this the month when we, as a parish, make every day Mother’s Day showing our love to Mary, our heavenly Mother, by the faithful recitation of her Rosary and our participation in her procession on May 26th . We go to Jesus through Mary! God bless you!

El 16 de octubre del 2002, el Papa San Juan Pablo II declaró el año de octubre del 2002 hasta octubre del 2003, el Año del Rosario, y él escribió una hermosa Carta Apostólica sobre el Rosario de la Virgen María. En ella, él nos dice que el Rosario, en el fondo, es una oración Cristo céntrica. Él también nos dice: "el Rosario es mi oración favorita! Una oración maravillosa! ... Nuestros corazones pueden abrazar en las decenas del Rosario todos los eventos que componen la vida de las personas, las familias, las naciones, la iglesia y todo la humanidad ... nuestras preocupaciones personales y los más cercanos a nosotros, que son los más queridos para nosotros…. la simple oración del Rosario marca el ritmo de la vida humana ". Este martes, comenzamos el mes de mayo, un mes en nuestra tradición Católica, dedicada a nuestra Santísima Madre. Un mes en el que mostramos nuestro amor y devoción a nuestra Madre celestial a través de nuestra devoción Mariana, especialmente en la recitación de su oración favorita, el Rosario. Al comenzar este mes, quiero invitar a cada uno de nosotros a participar en la recitación diaria del Santo Rosario! Aquí en la parroquia, animados por ADMA (devotos de María Auxiliadora), cada día, de lunes a viernes, a las 6:45 PM tendremos el rezo del Rosario frente a la hermosa estatua de Nuestra Señora de la Merced que está frente a nuestra Iglesia principal. Rezaremos el Rosario en diferentes idiomas, todos están invitados a dar testimonio público de nuestro amor y devoción a nuestra Santísima Madre. Todo el año recitamos el Rosario todos los sábados por la mañana a las 7:40 de la mañana antes de la Misa de las 8 y, durante el mes de mayo, pido que recitemos antes de todas nuestras Misas dominical. Vivimos en tiempos difíciles. Invito a todos nosotros a rezar esta oración por la paz en el mundo y para nuestras familias. El Rosario, anunciado por Nuestra Señora, es la oración por la paz, y siempre ha sido una oración de y para la familia. Necesitamos la ayuda de nuestra Madre en el cielo! Una de las decepciones que he tenido es que pocas de nuestras familias de habla inglesa han estado dispuestas a comprometerse a llevar a casa el Rosario de la Familia Parroquial para orar por las Vocaciones cada semana. ¿No hay suficientes familias dispuestas a llevar a casa el Rosario y rezarlo todas las noches por una semana? Y ciertamente, quiero que las familias en nuestras otras Misas también se presenten y se comprometan a rezar el Rosario en la familia por una semana. Si bien es cierto que hay familias todas las semanas para tomar el Rosario, también es cierto que las mismas familias suelen presentarse. ¿Dónde está el resto? Somos un Parroquia mariano. El Rosario es una parte importante de la vida familiar de nuestra parroquia! La parroquia tiene muchas devociones Marianas. Sin embargo, este mes, con el Rosario, quiero pedir a todos que nos preparemos para la procesión en honor de María Auxiliadora, este año tendremos nuestra procesión el 26 de mayo. Cuando el Cardenal estuvo aquí en marzo, mencionó la importancia de recurrir a la Ayuda de Auxiliadora de los Cristianos especialmente en este momento cuando la fe Católica y los Cristianos sufren persecución en muchas partes del mundo. Queremos hacer que esta procesión en honor a nuestra Santísima Madre sea la mejor! Preparémonos bien con la recitación diaria del rosario. Comenzamos el mes de María, el mes en que recordamos a nuestras madres vivas y fallecidas. Hagamos este mes, como parroquia, todos los días el Día de la Madre mostrando nuestro amor a María, nuestra Madre celestial, por el fiel recitación de su Rosario y nuestra participación en su procesión el 26 de mayo. Vamos a Jesús a través de María! ¡Dios te bendiga!

No dia 16 de outubro de 2001 o papa São Joao Paulo II declarou o ano seguinte, ano de 20002, como o ano do Rosario e escreveu uma carta apostólica sobre o Rosario de Nossa Senhora. Ele apresentou o rosário como uma oração cristocentrica e disse que o terço era sua oração favorita. Que linda e a oração do terço, ele envolve toda a humanidade seguindo o ritmo da vida. Terça-feira começaremos o mês de maio, dedicado a Nossa Senhora. Mês em que mostramos nossa devoção a nossa mãezinha do céu rezando diariamente o santo Rosário. Eu já aproveito para convidar a todos vocês para participar do terço diário que rezemos nesse mês. A ADMA se encarrega de animar o terço nas diversas línguas presentes no dia, de segunda a sexta-feira 6:45pm, na imagem de nossa senhora das Mercedes em frente a matriz. Será um testemunho público de devoção Mariana. Já rezamos o terço antes de começar a missa nos dias da semana e agora peco que se reze também antes das missas dominicais. Vivemos tempos difíceis e precisamos rezar pela paz no mundo e nas famílias. Nós estamos precisando muito da ajuda da mãezinha do céu. Sentimos que poucas famílias de língua inglesa estão interessadas em levar para a casa o terço vocacional e o terço está ficando na sacristia. Peco que as famílias das outras missas também se interessem mais por levar o terço vocacional após as missas dominicais. Não somos uma paroquia mariana? Então o terço e muito importante para nossa vida. Convido a todos os devotos de Nossa Senhora para participar da procissão em honra de Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora no dia 26 de maio. Quando o cardeal esteve na paroquia ele ressaltou a importância de nos voltarmos para Nossa Senhora, pedindo pelos cristãos perseguidos nas várias partes do mundo. Queremos fazer uma linda procissão a Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora, e a preparamos com a recita diária do terço em frente a matriz. Comecemos o mês de Maria e mês das mães lembrando as nossas mães vivas e falecidas e demostrando o nosso amor por elas. Nos vamos a Jesus através de Maria. Que Deus te abençoe!

16 Października 2002 roku, Święty Jan Paweł II ogłosił rok różańca trwający do października 2003r. W liście apostolskim napisał , ze różaniec powinien być modlitwa każdego chrześcijanina. Jest to cudowna modlitwa! Nasze serca ogarniają poszczególne dziesiatki różańca i wydarzenia z nimi związane, ktore dotyczą życia indywidualnego, rodzin, narodów, kościoła i każdego człowieka.Modlitwa różańca zanosimy nasze osobiste prośby i prośby o naszych bliskich. Zbliża się maj,miesiąc w katolickiej tradycji poświęcony Najświętszej Matce Boskiej. Miesiąc, w którym deklarujemy nasza miłość i oddanie Bożej Matce.Głownie poprzez modlitwy różańcowe. Chciałbym zachęcić wszystkich parafian do codziennego odmawiania tej modlitwy. W maju każdego dnia, poczynając od poniedziałku do piątku o godz. 18:45 bedziemy wspólnie się modlic przed figura Matki Boskiej Miłosiernej przy kościele Our Lady of Marcy. Bedziemy odmawiać różaniec w rożnych językach . Każdy powinien uczestniczyć, aby oddać publiczny hołd Maryji . Przez cały rok odmawiamy różaniec w każda sobotę o godz.7:40 przed msza sw. O godz 8:00. W miesiącu maju proszę , żeby odmawiać różaniec przed każda niedzielna msza sw . Żyjemy w trudnych czasach dlatego proszę o modlitwy za pokój na swiecie i w naszych rodzinach. Potrzebujemy pomocy Bożej Matki. Bardzo byłem rozczarowany kiedy mieliśmy rodzinne modlitwy różańcowe o powołania kapłańskie. Był spory problem z zabraniem różańca do domu przez amerykańskie rodziny. Te same rodziny brały różaniec poraz drugi. Gdzie jest reszta? Jesteśmy parafia marianska i różaniec powinien stanowić ważna cześć w naszym życiu. 26 maja odbędzie się procesja honorująca Matkę Boska Wspomożenia Wiernych. Rownież w maju pamiętamy o naszych matkach; tych zmarłych i żyjących . Pokażmy swą miłość naszym matka i Matce Chrystusowej. Przez Maryje do Jezusa! Z bożym błogosławieństwem !!

May is the month of Our Lady. We will pray the Rosary weekdays at 6:45 PM in front of the beautiful statue of Our Lady of Mercy in front of our main Church.
