All ​6th-8th grade classes​ are food- and nut-free since they are shared by so many. No se come en ningún salón de clase de ​los grados 6-8​ porque son compartidos con tantos alumnos.

Estimados Padres,

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Me gustaría tomar esta oportunidad de informarles de un estudiante en el salón de su niño que tiene una alergia grave a los nueces. Estas alergias pueden ser leves o pueden ser graves. Pueden ocurrir cuando los productos de nueces se comen, o de simplemente tocar u oler estos alimentos.

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of a student in your child’s class with a severe nut allergy. These allergies can range from mild to severe life-threatening reactions. They can happen when nut products are eaten, or from just touching or smelling these foods.

Por estas razones, les pido su cooperación para que todos nuestros estudiantes beneficien de un ambiente seguro en que aprender. Favor de recordarles a sus niños que no compartan sus comidas y que laven las manos antes y después de comer cualquier comida.

For the above reasons, I am asking your cooperation so that all of our students here are provided with a safe environment in which to learn. Please remind your children not to share any snacks and to be sure to clean their hands before and after eating snack and lunch.

Además, favor de consultar con la maestra antes de mandar comida para fiestas, cumpleaños y otras celebraciones, y revisar los ingredientes en la comida que mande a la escuela. FAVOR DE NO MANDAR NIGUNA COMIDA QUE CONTIENE CACAHUATES Y/O NUECES O QUE FUE PROCESADA EN UNA FABRICA CON NUECES DE ARBOL. Agradecemos mucho su ayuda en crear un ambiente seguro para todos nuestros estudiantes. Enseñen a sus niños la gravedad de esta situación y que nos ayuden en la prevención de agredir a niños con esta alergia grave.

Please check with the classroom teacher before sending in snacks for parties, birthdays, special occasions, etc., and check the list of ingredients on items you send to school. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY FOOD TO SCHOOL THAT CONTAINS NUT PRODUCTS OR THAT HAS BEEN PROCESSED IN A FACILITY THAT ALSO PROCESSES TREE NUTS. We greatly appreciate you helping us create a safe environment for all of our students. Teach your child to understand that this is a serious situation and discourage teasing of this child.
