November 30th REMINDER: FAMILY DAY IS TUESDAY, DECEMBER 4 TH. PLEASE STOP IN ANYTIME BETWEEN 12:30-2:30 TO DO ACTIVTIES WITH YOUR CHILD. Your child will be in the room that they would normally be in at that time. Blue class will be with me and the red class will be with Mrs. Cook (Ms. Randell will be in there as well.) Please sign your child out with a teacher before taking them when you complete the activities. If no one can come from your family, please let me know so that we can plan to have someone do the activities with your child. Your preschooler needs snow gear (snow pants/snow boots) on snowy days for recess. We go outside every day unless the wind chill is 0 or below. Mittens, hats, and warm coats that zip up will be needed daily as well. Please put their names on their items. This week was fun getting back into a routine 😊 We’ve worked a lot on independence with all the snow gear. We’ve read some fun hibernation fiction stories, built hibernation habitats,played number games and enjoyed bringing a bear to school for measuring, sorting and comparing activities. We learned letters Q and O. Next week, we plan to introduce a new theme for December – gingerbread. We’ll have learning games, fine motor crafts, reading, writing and math with this unit, and of course squeeze in some cooking. We do fun learning activities all month long instead of just one brief party. If you are interested in sending treats or juice boxes, please

let me know. We’ll schedule those throughout the month for something special. If you’d like to help with materials, I can always use Christmas stickers, wrapping paper (scraps are great), tape, small boxes to “wrap” and used gift bags to play pretend with. I am also on the hunt for packaged GINGERBREAD MEN COOKIES. These seem to get more difficult to find every year! We will continue working on our kid writing, letter sounds and specifically letter D next week. We will keep busy with family day, the red class goes to the care center, writing letters to Santa and Santa’s Workshop! We’ll have to take plenty of brain breaks and do the Crazy Santa Dance!

Por favor, firme a su hijo con un maestro antes de tomarlos cuando complete las actividades. Si nadie puede venir de su familia, por favor déjeme saber para que podamos planear que alguien haga las actividades con su niño. Su preescolar necesita equipo de nieve (pantalones de nieve/Botas de nieve) en días de nieve para el recreo. Vamos fuera todos los días a menos que el viento frío es 0 o inferior. Hacemos actividades divertidas de aprendizaje durante todo el mes en lugar de una breve fiesta. Si usted está interesado en enviar golosinas o cajas de jugo, por favor, déjeme saber. Los programaremos durante todo el mes para algo especial.
