NATURALIZATION CHECKLIST Basic Documents:       

If you are currently legally married:

Permanent residence card (green card) Passport(s) for the last 5 years Driver’s license (if applicable) Social Security Card 2 passport style photos Addresses for the past 5 years (all addresses and dates when you moved) Jobs or schools attended during the last 5 years (name and address of employer or school, occupation, start and end dates of employment/studies)

If you have ever been married or divorced:  

All marriage certificates (regardless of where or when the marriage took place) All divorce decrees or other evidence of termination of marriage (regardless of where or when it happened)

   

Name, date of birth, place of birth, and employer of your spouse Naturalization certificate (if he/she is a naturalized citizen) Green card or evidence of immigration status (if he/she has one) All previous marriages, divorce decrees, or other terminations of marriage of spouse

If you have children:   

Name of each child and their date of birth (regardless of their age and where they were born) Alien Registration Number of each child (if they have one) Current address of each child

If you have ever been arrested or had issues with law enforcement/immigration: 

Immigration documents or final court dispositions and police reports of all arrests

Fees: 

USCIS Fee: $725 ($640 + $85 biometrics fee) in money order or check only OR $640 if you are at least 75 years old 



If you receive public benefits or have low income, you may qualify for a fee waiver. Please bring evidence demonstrating that you receive public benefits (such as food stamps, SSI, SSD, etc.) and/or that you have low income (most recent tax return and 3-4 most recent paystubs)

Catholic Charities fee: $200 (cash, money order, or check)

Nombre, fecha de nacimiento, lugar de nacimiento, y empleador de su esposo/a Certificado de naturalización (si él o ella es ciudadano naturalizado) Tarjeta de la residencia o evidencia de estatus migratorio (si él o ella lo tiene) Información de todos los matrimonios y divorcios anteriores de su esposo/a

Si alguna vez ha estado casado o divorciado:  

Todos los certificados de matrimonio (sin importar cuando o cuando se casó) Todos los certificados de divorcio u otra evidencia de como terminó el matrimonio (sin importar dónde o cuando haya sido)

Si tiene hijos:   

Nombres de todos los hijos y sus fechas de nacimiento (sin importar la edad o donde nacieron) Numero alien de inmigrante o residencia (si tienen) Direcciones actuales de cada hijo/a

Si alguna vez lo han arrestado o ha tenido problemas con inmigración: 

Documentos de inmigración o disposiciones finales de la corte y reportes de la policía de cada arresto

Costos: 

Tarifa de USCIS: $725 ($640 + $85) en money order o cheque solamente O $640 si usted tiene 75 años o más 

Si usted recibe beneficios públicos o tiene bajos ingresos, podría calificar para la exención del pago de tarifas. Por favor traiga evidencia demostrando que usted recibe beneficios públicos (como cupones de alimentos, SSI, SSD, etc.) y/o que usted tiene bajos ingresos (declaración de taxes más recientes y 3-4 colillas de cheques recientes)
