For ten years, Mariana has served as Legal Counsel at the National Direction of International Affairs and Controversies of the Attorney General’s Office of the Argentine Republic. From April 2013 until July 2017, Ms. Mariana Lozza served as Deputy Director. In that capacity, she has represented Argentina before international arbitral tribunals on investment disputes (ICSID, UNCITRAL and ICC) and supervised local proceedings under domestic jurisdictions (including United States of America, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Spain, Japan, Germany, and United Kingdom). Also, she has actively participated in the negotiation of international investment agreements (bilateral treaties and free trade agreements) on behalf of Argentina. From October 2005 until July 2007, Ms. Lozza acted as Legal Counsel at the Administrative Tribunal of the Organization of American States. Ms. Lozza has also been involved in the academia dedicated to public international law. She has an LL.M., specialized on International Business Law, from American University, Washington College of Law, and her law degree from Universidad Nacional del Sur in Argentina. She has been recognized as “Arbitration-Future Leaders” by Who’s Who Legal (2017, 2018 and 2019). Mariana Lozza is fluent in English and Spanish, and working knowledge of French.
