Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)—Base Year
The La Grange ISD Hermes/Intermediate, Middle School and High School announced a change to its policy for serving meals to children served under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2018-2019 school year. Schools qualifying to operate the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) provide breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge. This new approach reduces burdens for families and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals. Our services are provided through the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food & Nutrition Division. One free meal per student, this does not include ala carte food items like : Second Breakfast or Lunch Entrée’s, gatorade, bottled water, bottled juices, V-8’s or any snack items like PBJ sandwiches, extra donuts, pop tarts chips, cookies, dippin’ dots, ice cream, shakes, French fries, jerky, granola bars, rice krispie treats, popcorn, condiments or an extra fruit or vegetable. You will be required to put money on your students account for the above items. We will not allow charging any food or drink item.

Las escuelas que califican para operar la Provision de Elegibilidad Comunitaria(CEP,por sus siglas en ingles) ofrecen desayuno y almuerzo a todos los ninos sin cargo. Este Nuevo enfoque reduce las cargas para las familias yayuda a garantizar que los estudiantes reciban comidas nutritivas. Nuestros servicios se brindan a traves del Programa de Alimentos y Nutricion del Departamento de Agricultura de Texas financiado por el Departamento de Agricultura de EE.UU., Division de Alimentos y Nutricion. Una comida gratis por estudiante, esto no incluye alimentos a la carta como Secunda Portiones de comidas, Gatorade, aqua embotellada, jugos embotellado, V-8, o cualquier bocadillo como sandwiches de cacahuate, donas, tartaletas, galletas, dipping dots, helados, batidos, chips, cecina, barras de granola, palomitas, frutas, verdudas o condimentos. Se le pedira que ponga dinero en su cuenta de estudiantes para los articulos anteriores. No permitiremos cargar articulos de comida or bebidas en las cuentas de estudiantes.
