Instructions for authors Mini-review

This section comprises articles describing the state of the art of topics that may be clinical, on pathophysiology, pharmacology, meta-analysis, epidemiology or any other category considered relevant to the medical practice. Topics may also encompass one topic in particular or focus on the review of its specific aspects (history, epidemiology, etiology, diagnosis, treatment, etc.). The article ahould be structures including: 1) Introduction: should lay emphasis on the importance of the topic to the medical practice. Methods used to write the paper must be stated (research strategies and selection data, statistical components in meta-analysis, etc.). 2) Body: sections can be presented following the author’s criteria, but it is advisable to use subtitles that allow for a better presentation clarity. 3) Discussion: will be included when the author has done a critical analysis of the information The length of the article should be 3000 words maximum (including the bibliography) with no more than 3 tables and/or illustrations and no more than 20 bibliographic references (please, include a four word abbreviated title if the original contains more than five words). The article should include a title (if it had more than 5 words, an abbreviated title of 4 words maximum, is requested), a 200 word summary and 5 key words maximum, in Spanish and English.
