02/13/17 Dear Parent: Please be advised that because we presently don’t have a treasurer, a secretary and a Tittle One committee is mandated to have election of officers prior to June 30th 2017 our school’s PTA has ceased to function. Pursuant to Chancellor’s Regulation A-660 (CR A-660), “Parent Associations and the Schools,” I am responsible for convening a meeting so that expedited nominations and election can be held. The meeting will take place on Tuesday February 28th, at 4:00 P.M. in room 323 We will begin by taking nominations from the floor for each available officer position. According to the current PA bylaws, the officer positions for the association are President [Co-Presidents], Secretary, Treasurer. The core mandatory officer positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer must be filled at this meeting in order for our school to have an operating parent association (PA). Elections will follow immediately after the close of nominations. Candidates will be asked to address the audience and make a brief statement expressing why they wish to be considered for an officer position.
