There are just a few things you need to know about the activities this year at BLAST. First, if there is a weather event that might make travel to and from FBCEC difficult--causing a cancellation of the meeting--you will be notified by email no later than 4 pm on the day of BLAST. Many of us come from different points on the compass, but it will be the weather in Evans City that determines whether or not there is a meeting. The schedule covers the entire year. In the emailed letter a couple of weeks ago, it was mentioned that there would be no BLAST on the month that FBCEC had its VBS. I am rethinking that. A movie night scheduled for that month just might be the ticket, if there is no conflict of dates. Last year at BLAST we did everything possible to end the meeting by 8 pm, or close to it. This year we will be mindful of ending at 8:30 pm, but as a warning, if we are in the middle of a terrific game, or if we need a few more minutes for the glue to dry on a craft project, then we would ask that you would grant us a moment or two should we need it. It is a Friday night, but we won’t take advantage of that. If you know any youngsters who would like to join us, please invite them. If you end up finding a slew of them, please let us know so that we have enough supper for everyone. At present we are in negotiations with Mr. Jones, to see if he could arrange for another evening similar to the Mousetrap Car Night of last year. It was a hit! If I had one worry, it would be that there isn’t enough time scheduled for all the things we have planned. But, most importantly, we want Jesus Christ to be glorified, and for the kids to end their school week having encountered Him through the lessons and fellowship. Evelyn Aronsohn BLAST Coordinator
