STAAR Bingo: Resources to Help your Child Be Successful in Middle School Social Studies & Science
Learn about Middle School Writing: It's BIG & BRIGHT!
Wow....College at 14!
Participants will learn about available resources to help their child with middle school social studies and science, and preparation for the STAAR Social Studies and Science Exams. Participants will make their own bingo card and have fun playing and learning about social studies and science. Pull up a chair, and we'll work together to create a Texas-sized writing resource for you to have at home. Your middle school child will see you as a BIG & BRIGHT "teacher" at home! A clear understanding of the expectations and demands on parents, students, teachers, United ISD and Laredo College to ensure ALL students are successful in rigorous college level courses at such a young age. Myths and Misconceptions will be shared. Answer any other questions or doubts parents may have in regards to ECHS.
Participants will learn what is required to enroll in Dual Credit Courses while in high school. They Earning College Hours While in High will also be provided with School information on the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment which is a college entrance exam.
