1. Undo the hook and loop along the back of the chair.
NOTE: Some detail removed for clarity.
2. Remove the black scrim by undoing the hook and loop along both sides. 3. Pull the corresponding cable housings from the attachment bracket located in the center of the chair and remove the cable end from the bracket (3a thru 3b).

4. On a rear caster, pull the cable housing connected to the caster brake actuator toward the rear of the chair to disengage it from the brake actuator. 5. Remove the cable end from the frame by sliding it toward the “T” in the frame slot. 6. For the front locking caster, deploy the footrest and recline the chair.

7. On the front locking caster, remove the black scrim covering the caster shank by undoing the hook and loop along the edges. 8. Pull the cable housing connected to the caster brake actuator toward the front of the chair to disengage it from the brake actuator. 9. Remove the cable end from the frame by sliding it toward the “T” in the frame slot.

10. Return the chair to its upright position.

AUTOMATIC TENSION ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
Installing New Cables

1. If locked, unlock automatic
tension adjustment mechanism on the new cables by sliding the locking tab out part way.
2. Attach the cable housing and cable end, nearest the auto tension adjustment, into the respective brackets (2a thru 2b). 3. Route cable to its respective caster:

If no ratcheting is heard

7. Cycle central lock mechanism twice
to seat cables returning to the “unlocked” position.
AUTOMATIC TENSIONER
8. With central lock unlocked, check for ratcheting of each caster by lifting the chair and spinning the caster around its shank. 9. If no ratcheting is heard, then lock the respective cable adjustor by sliding the locking tab down into the automatic tensioner.
If ratcheting is heard
10. If ratcheting is heard, then very
slightly compress the respective automatic tensioner while simultaneously pushing the locking tab down into position.

1. Desmonte el gancho y el lazo a lo largo del respaldo de la silla. NOTA: Algún detalle retirado para mayor claridad.

4. En una ruedecilla de atrás, hale el bastidor del cable conectado al actuador del freno de la ruedecilla hacia la parte de atrás de la silla para desengancharlo del actuador del freno. 5. Retire el extremo del cable del armazón deslizándolo hacia la ranura en “T” del armazón. 6. Para la ruedecilla frontal con bloqueo extienda el reposapiés y recline la silla.

7. En la ruedecilla frontal con
seguro, retire el telón negro que cubre el vástago de la ruedecilla desmontando el gancho y el lazo a lo largo de los bordes.
8. Hale el bastidor del cable
conectado al actuador del freno de la ruedecilla hacia la parte frontal de la silla para desengancharlo del actuador del freno.
9. Retire el extremo del cable del armazón deslizándolo hacia la ranura en “T” del armazón.

Instalación de cables nuevos 1. Si está bloqueado, desbloquee el
mecanismo de regulación automática de la tensión en los nuevos cables retirando parcialmente la aleta de bloqueo.

2. Sujete el bastidor del cable y el extremo del cable, los más cercanos a la regulación automática de la tensión, en sus respectivos soportes (de 2a a 2b). 3. Guíe los cables a sus respectivas ruedecillas: Cables cortos (33 pulgadas de largo) a las ruedecillas de atrás.
NOTA: Algún detalle retirado para mayor claridad.

Si no se oye acción de trinquete
9 7. Haga ciclar dos veces el mecanismo de bloqueo central para asentar los cables que retornan a la posición “desbloqueada”.
ALETA DE BLOQUEO
8. Con el bloqueo central desbloqueado, revise la acción de trinquete de cada ruedecilla levantando la silla y dando vueltas la ruedecilla alrededor de su vástago.
TENSOR AUTOMÁTICO
9. Si no se oye acción de trinquete,
entonces bloquee el respectivo dispositivo graduador del cable deslizando la aleta de bloqueo hacia abajo en el tensor automático.
10. Si se oye una acción de trinquete,

entonces comprima muy ligeramente el respectivo tensor de cable y simultáneamente empuje la aleta de bloqueo hacia abajo a su posición.

11. Haga ciclar dos veces el mecanismo de bloqueo central para asentar los cables que retornan a la posición “desbloqueada”.
12. Revise si hay acción de trinquete
