August 21, 2018 Dear Parents, Earlimart Middle school is in the process of electing members to the School Site Council (SSC) for the 2018-19 school year. The purpose of the SSC is to develop and approve the School Plan for Student Achievement, which is a plan designed to improve the effectiveness of the school program. In order to accomplish this task, the SSC meets on a regular basis to review data, assess student growth, discuss and approve the budget, and monitor success throughout the year. Meetings are held 5 times a year on Thursdays at 4:00 pm. If you are interested in being a member of the SSC, please fill out the nomination form below, and return it to the school office by August 31, 2018. Nominations will not be accepted after this date. After all nominations are in, a ballot will be sent home to all parents. The four parents with the highest number of votes will serve on the SSC. 21 de agosto 2018 Estimados padres, La Escuela Intermedia de Earlimart está en el proceso de elección de los miembros del Consejo Escolar (SSC) para el año escolar 2018-19. El propósito de la SSC es desarrollar y aprobar el Plan Escolar para el Rendimiento Académico del Estudiante, el cual es un plan integral diseñado para mejorar la eficacia del programa escolar. Para llevar a cabo esta tarea, el SSC se reúne periódicamente para revisar data, evaluar el desarrollo académico de los estudiantes, presupuestos categóricos, y supervisar su aplicación. Las reuniones serán programadas 5 veces al año los jueves a las 4:00 pm. Si usted está interesado en ser un miembro del SSC, por favor llene el formulario de nominación adjunto y regréselo a la oficina de la escuela para el 31 de agosto 2018.
