FINDING A SEAT IS EASY A constantly updated display showing the reservation status of all seats is indispensable in regional and long-distance trains. DILAX offers various display technologies and display sizes tailored to the individual needs of the transport operators. Reservation information can be displayed as usual on displays at the seat. An additional benefit is provided by coupling the DILAX seat reservation display system with other systems. This enables operators to display the current reservation information even before boarding – for example, on platform displays or in a mobile app.

Clear Advantages: Crowds are kept to a minimum and passengers can quickly identify and locate their seats before and during boarding. But the innovative DILAX seat reservation display system is not limited to just displaying reservation information. By linking it with landbased systems, any additional information relevant to passengers, such as information on connections, can be displayed in real-time.

INTEGRATION IN VEHICLE SYSTEMS

For the simple display of the reservation status, DILAX offers a multiline display which can be installed in all areas of the train. Depending on your specific needs, this display can provide information for an individual seat, a two seat group, or for multi-purpose areas.

The DILAX seat reservation display system enables complete integration with the on-board vehicle systems via Ethernet. The DILAX system can be installed in both new vehicles and during vehicle modernization. Up to 100 displays per car can be used. The seat reservation display system can be operated with only one central control unit per car with an interface to the on-board computer. This enables reservation data to be displayed at the correct time and at the correct station. Alternatively, data for a full day can be stored in advance and displayed at the proper stations.

The innovative DILAX displays provide accessibility and worldwide applicability. Besides pictograms, international characters can also be displayed and updated in real-time. This further contributes to greater travel comfort and passenger satisfaction. By default, the reservation information is displayed throughout the passenger’s journey. But it is also possible to transmit updated information on the reservation status in real-time to the train. For example, last-minute or new reservations can be displayed on DILAX displays just in time before the train enters the next station. In addition, it is possible to integrate an LED into the DILAX displays to indicate the current occupancy during the trip (e.g. green for “available” / red for “occupied”).
