Welcome and welcome back to everyone. We have had a great three weeks of school. Hopefully, we are all adjusting to our new classes and teachers. I want to encourage you to stay informed and involved in your child’s education this year. Keep in touch with their teachers; either by visits, calls, notes, or email. Remember you can check your child’s grades online too. If you don’t know how to do this, contact us and we will show you how. I want to encourage all of you to come have lunch with your child this year, come visit in their classroom, or volunteer to help another teacher. We would love to have you. After-school questions Asking “how was your day?’ “what did you do today?’, might not get you far. Instead, ask your child “what made you laugh today?” “Who was kind to you?” Excellent Attendance Being in school everyday means your child won’t miss out on learning. Try to schedule appointments after school when possible. Daily Backpack Inspection Please check your child’s backpack every night. A lot of times there are notes in there you never see. Their homework and/or graded papers are in there. Their agenda book should be in there every night for you to look at and sign. Help them learn to keep their backpack clean and organized.

Staying Healthy! *Take a bath/shower every day. *Wash your hands often. *Make sure you wash your jackets regularly. BHE looks good on you!
