1ª EDICIÓN DEL CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL DE FOTOGRAFIA “UNED LA PALMA” FOTOGRAFÍA NOCTURNA. Bases

1. OBJETO Y ÁMBITO Concurso de carácter internacional dirigido a todos los aficionados a la fotografía nocturna. 2. TEMÁTICA El contenido de las imágenes se ceñirá al tema “paisaje astronómico”, siendo su elaboración libre, centrada en escenas ocurridas entre el ocaso y el orto, donde predomine el cielo como protagonista principal. Se podrá utilizar cualquier técnica de fotográfica. Las imágenes deberán ser originales e inéditas. 3. PRESENTACIÓN DE LAS OBRAS. Cada participante, que habrá de ser mayor de edad, podrá presentar hasta un máximo de tres fotografías, cada una con su título correspondiente. Los concursantes presentarán cada obra con un título. Las imágenes se enviarán en formato JPEG con una calidad que permita ampliación sin pixelarse a 60x40 cm. En una resolución de 300 ppp. Cada archivo que se envíe deberá nombrarse como sigue: Seudónimo_títulodelafoto.jpg En el caso de que el título de la foto fuera muy largo también podría nombrarse el archivo digital de la siguiente forma Seudónimo_número.jpg El email deberá contener, además de la/s obra/s, un fichero de texto con la siguiente información:  Título de la obra  Lugar de realización  Equipo empleado  Datos de la toma Y los siguientes datos del Autor:

El email se enviará a la dirección [email protected] con el asunto: CONCURSO FOTOGRAFICO LAS POSTALES DEL CIELO, si no se envía de la forma descrita el envío se dará por no presentado 4. PLAZOS Y ENTREGA. Los trabajos deberán remitirse al correo electrónico [email protected], Centro Asociado UNED La Palma, sito en Plaza de Españá nº 1 Santa Cruz de La Palma, 38700 especificando en el asunto CONCURSO FOTOGRAFICO LAS POSTALES DEL CIELO, y el seudónimo utilizado. La fecha límite de entrega de las fotografías será el día 30 de Septiembre a las 23:55 horas (hora Canaria) del 2015. No se admitirán trabajos entregados fuera de este plazo. 5. JURADO Y CRITERIOS. El jurado estará compuesto por: Mario Rubio: www.fotografonocturno.com/ Juan Carlos Casado www.tierrayestrellas.com Antonio González www.cielos-lapalma.es/ José Antonio Fernández Arozena http://vaya-usted-a-saber.blogspot.com.es/ José Fernando Concepción Feliciano www.fotojosefeliciano.com No se admitirán fotomontajes o aquellas fotografías retocadas digitalmente cuyo mensaje e imagen original haya sido modificado y no se corresponda con el RAW, hecho que constatará el jurado o persona en quien delegue si así lo estima oportuno. Serán admitidas aquellas fotografías con ajustes de niveles, curvas, reducción de ruido y/o máscara de enfoque que trate el conjunto de la fotografía y no una parte de ella. Bajo ningún concepto se admite la clonación El fallo del jurado será inapelable y se realizará tomando como criterio 1. Calidad artística. 2. Originalidad. 3. Medios utilizados

Uno, varios o todos los premios podrían quedar desiertos. Actuará como Secretario, el Secretario del Centro Asociado de la UNED en La Palma, D. Juan Antonio González Arnáez que será quien controle la recepción de las obras presentadas, velando en todo momento por la confidencialidad de los candidatos. 6. COMUNICACIÓN DEL FALLO El fallo del jurado, se dará a conocer directamente a los premiados antes del día 15 de octubre del 2015, de todo lo cual se informará a los medios de comunicación y se hará pública en la Web www.unedlapalma.es Después del fallo la entidad organizadora se reserva el derecho a organizar una exposición física y/o virtual con una selección de las mejores imágenes a criterio del jurado, mencionado siempre su autoría y sin contraprestación económica alguna. La entrega de premios se hará coincidir con el acto de apertura del curso 2015-2016 que se realizará en el mes de octubre. No es preceptivo recoger el premio en el acto de entrega de los premios. Las fotografías seleccionadas podrán ser usadas para la promoción del propio certamen. Las 15 mejores fotografías pueden ser utilizadas para realizar una exposición en el centro previa autorización por parte de los autores y convenientemente identificadas. 7. PREMIOS: El premio consistirá en 400 euros para el primer premio, 250 euros para el segundo premio y 150 para el tercero. De acuerdo con la legislación vigente, el premio del presente concurso, quedará sometidos al Impuesto de la Renta sobre Personas Físicas. Los premios serán indivisibles 8. PROPIEDAD Y USO POSTERIOR DE LAS OBRAS Las fotografías serán en todo momento propiedad de sus autores y ellos tendrán todo el derecho sobre las mismas, permitiendo solo su difusión en relación con el concurso. Las fotografías serán propiedad de su autor. La participación en el certamen implica la aceptación, sin reserva alguna, de las bases del mismo.

THE 1st IINTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHIC CONTEST “UNED LA PALMA” LANDSCAPE ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY Terms and conditions of entry

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE The “UNED LA PALMA” photo contest is open for submission by any photography enthusiasts over the age of 18 from around the world.

2. CONTEST THEME The contents of the images will adhere to the landscape astrophotography theme. The style of the images will be free, but focusing on scenes between sunset and sunrise, and where the night skies will be the dominant element. Any photographic technique will be accepted. Images must be originals and unpublished. 3. SUBMISSIONS FOR ENTRY. Each entrant, who must be over 18 at the time of entry, will be allowed to enter the contest a maximum of three photographs, each of them with a corresponding name. Entrants will submit each work with a suggested title. Entries will be submitted as a JPEG file in a 300 dpi resolution, with a quality that allows for a large print without pixelation of 60 by 40 centimetres (23.6 by 14.7 inches). Each submitted file should be identified as follows: Pseudonym_nameoftheimage.jpg In the event of a very long image name, the file can also be identified as: Pseudonym_number.jpg The e-mail of the entrant with the image should also include a text file with the following information:   

Entry e-mails will be sent to the electronic address [email protected] with the subject: CONCURSO FOTOGRAFICO LAS POSTALES DEL CIELO. All entries not submitted in agreement with the described procedure will be discarded. 4. CLOSING DATES Photographs must be sent to the electronic address [email protected], which belongs to the UNED University branch in La Palma island, located in Plaza de España nº 1 Santa Cruz de La Palma, 38700, with the subject CONCURSO FOTOGRAFICO LAS POSTALES DEL CIELO, and the chosen pseudonym. Photographs must be submitted until five minutes before midnight, 30 September, 2015 (Western European Summer Time). No entries will be admitted beyond that time. 5. JUDGING CONDITIONS. This fact will be verified by the panel of judges or by the person in whom they delegate, if deemed convenient. Those photographs which merely show level or curve adjustments, noise reduction and/or unsharp masking which affect the whole image and not just part of it, will be accepted. Cloning will not be admitted in any circumstance.

The decision of the panel of judges will be final and will be based upon: 1. Artistic merit. 2. Originality. 3. Technical skill. Should the entries fall below the standard required by the competition organizers and the judges, then the organizers reserve the right not to award prizes. Mr Juan Antonio González Arnáez, member of the board of governors of the UNED University branch in La Palma, will act as secretary of the contest, controlling the reception of the submitted photographs and ensuring at all times the confidentiality of all the entrants. 6. PUBLICITY OF THE DECISION The decision of the panel of judges will be communicated directly to the winners before the 15th October 2015. The will be also a public announcement on the media and the web for the UNED University branch in La Palma, www.unedlapalma.es. After the decision, the organizers reserve the right to conduct a physical and/or virtual exhibition with a selection of the best photographs, in accordance with the opinion of the judges, stating authorship in all cases and without economic compensation of any kind. An awards event will be held in coincidence with the ceremony to open the academic year 2015-2016, to be conducted in October. The attendance to such event is not a pre-requisite to receive the awards. The photographers agree to have their photographs used by the organizers in connection to the awards and for the purpose of promoting the contest. A selection of the 15 best photographs can be used to conduct an exhibition at the University branch in La Palma, with the consent of the authors and adequate statement of authorship. 7. PRIZES: The prizes for the winning entries are as follows: First prize: cash prize of 400 euros. Second prize: cash prize of 250 euros. Third prize: cash prize of 150 euros. All prizes are subject to Spanish income tax. Prizes are not to be divided.

8. COPYRIGHT AND PERMISSIONS Copyright of the images will remain at all times with the photographer. The photographers agree to the exhibition of their images for any purpose directly connected with the competition. Ownership of the photographies will remain with their author. By entering this competition, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound, without exception, by these Terms and Conditions.
