1. When you have PENSAR + verb infinitive, it means to plan or intend to do something. Yo pienso ir a París. I plan to go to Paris.
¿Cuándo piensa Ud. ir, Dra. Brenot? When do you intend/plan to go, Dr. Brenot?

2. When you combine PENSAR + de in a question it means to think of (as in an opinion). ¿Qué piensas tú de la clase de historia? What do you think of history class?

3. When you combine PENSAR + que in a statement to answer a question about what you think of something, it means to think that (as in an opinion). Yo pienso que ella es muy cómica. I think that she is very funny.

4. When you have PENSAR + en it means you are thinking about someone or something. Samantha, ¿en qué piensas? Samantha, what are you thinking (about)?
Yo pienso en mi gato. I am thinking about my cat.
