Our Parish Mission Statement The Parish of St. John Bosco is a multi-cultural, multi-lingual Catholic Faith community that proclaims Jesus Christ. In the spirit of St. John Bosco, we do this by being a Home that welcomes all especially the young and the poor; a School that prepares for life through religious, educational and social services; a Parish that evangelizes through Word & Sacrament, Worship and Faith Formation; a Playground where lasting friendship and relationships are formed and developed through recreational and social opportunities
From the Desk of Fr. Pat
Desde el Escritorio de P. Pat
In these weeks our parish has been blessed with a number of couples presented to the community for the Sacrament of Matrimony. We pray for them with gratitude for their witness. At the same time, their weddings are a reminder to us of the sanctity of marriage. It is hard to believe that five years have passed since the Supreme Court declared a “new definition” or marriage. As we think about marriage and celebrate its meaning in these weeks, it is good to recall what the American Bishops said on that day of the Supreme Court’s decision:
Today is a tragic day for marriage and our nation…. The court got it wrong. The federal government ought to respect the truth that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, …. Including the truth about marriage… Marriage is the only institution that brings together a man and a woman for life, providing any child who comes from their union with the secure foundation of a mother and father. Our culture has taken for granted for far too long what human nature, experience, common sense, and God’s wise design all confirm: the difference between a man and a woman matters, and the difference between a mom and dad matters. While the culture has failed in many ways to be marriage - strengthening, this is no reason to give up. Now is the time to strengthen marriage, not redefine it. When Jesus taught about the meaning of marriage — the lifelong, exclusive union of husband and wife — he pointed back to “the beginning” of God’s creation of the human person as male and female (see Matthew 19). In the face of the customs and laws of his time, Jesus taught an unpopular truth that everyone could understand. The truth of marriage endures, and we will continue to boldly proclaim it with confidence and charity.
As our culture continues to advance in ways diametrically opposed to the Gospel, we continue to pray to have the courage to stand strong — in the public square — to all that is contrary to the Gospel. We support and celebrate Marriage as the sacred union between one man and one woman for life! God bless you!

Współczesna kultura podchodzi do tych spraw z duża swoboda i daleko idąca tolerancja. Kobieta i mężczyzna, matka i ojciec to znaczące związki. Przypomniał nam początek świata, gdzie Bog stworzył kobietę i mężczyznę. Mówi nam o tym ewangelia według sw. Mateusza. Powinnismy stanąć w obronie tradycyjnych wartosci małżeńskich i nie bać sie wyrażać swojej opini.Małżeństwo to święty związek pomiędzy kobieta a mężczyzna na całe zycie. Z Bożym błogosławieństwem !
