Throoughout thee Congress, we have greattly appreciatted the warm mth and hosppitality of thee people of IIndia. U Natioons Conventiion on the Rights R of Perssons with Diisabilities In aggreement witth the princiiples of the United (CRP PD), other innternational human rightts treaties annd the CBR Guidelines G 2 2010, CBR is i consideredd to be an effecctive strategyy for realiziing the rightts of peoplee with disabiilities, their families and other marrginalized peopple in commuunities. CBR partneers such as the t United Nations N ageencies, WHO O in particu ular; the CB BR Africa Therrefore, key C Netw work (CAN)); the CBR R Americas Network (C CAsN); the CBR Asiaa-Pacific Neetwork (CA APN); the Interrnational Dissability Alliaance (IDA);; the Internaational Disabbility and Deevelopment Consortium m (IDDC); and the t Asia-Paccific Developpment Centeer on Disabiility (APCD)) have agreed to set up a global initiiative, the CBR R Global Nettwork, for sh haring viewss, experiencees and knowlledge internaationally. v of the perspectivess throughouut the three days of inttensive discuussion, the Congress m makes the In view follo owing recom mmendations: Partnerships should be developed d too promote annd implemennt CBR interrnationally and a to ensuree that the 1. C levels, including discusssions on thee Millennium m Developm ment Goals (MDGs) annd post MD DGs. This r requires necessary resou urce allocatiions and invvolvement of o women annd men withh disabilities, people w high suppport needs, children wiith disabilitiees and their families; with f Capacity buiilding projeccts and proggrammes shoould be madde available to CBR praactitioners, including i 3. C p persons withh disabilities and their fam milies, in linne with the CRPD C and thhe CBR Guiddelines; CBR should be adopted as an effective strategyy for both pooverty reducction and disaster risk rreduction, 4.
